New Classes a big hit in Larkhall
We’ve only been running our clubs in Larkhall for a few weeks now, but the early response has been excellent. All the classes are over half full and we’re getting newcomers every week. Our Monday night Glee girls are progressing so fast that they’ve already started putting together some routines for a show in November, while our Dance classes are not too far behind as they’re also making plans for a performance in the near future too. Our most recent addition, the Friday Fun Club, has also got off to a good start and we’re looking forward to welcoming more new faces to “Happy Feet” in the coming months. While we’re focusing on the young ones at the moment, we’re looking into adding some adult classes into the mix, so all the ‘big kids’ out there don’t miss out on the fun.

Our current classes run as follows:
Glee Club – Mondays 6.30 to 7.30pm (4-14 yrs) and 7.30 to 8.30pm (7-14 yrs)
Glee Club combines a mixture of singing, drama and dance, and is inspired by the hit TV series ‘Glee’. Music comes from the latest charts and well known musical theatre numbers. While vocal skills and technique are a big part of the class, we also focus heavily on performance, communication, expression, confidence and most importantly, fun. As well as the regular weekly classes, kids will also get the chance to showcase their talent at the annual show, and at local events. Kids aged 7 and over are welcome to stay for both hours.
Dance – Tuesdays ‘Move n’ Groove’ – 6.30-7.30pm (4-8 yrs)
‘Move and Groove’ will put all the fun into ‘Funky’ as kids take part in a mix of developmental and modern dance routines. As well as learning all the latest moves, kids will be encouraged to express themselves and develop their own routines to the most popular chart hits. Our dance coaches will keep everyone on their toes and will include lots of fun games to keep smiles on faces and feet!
Dance – Tuesdays ‘Beat Mix Crew’ – 7.30-8.30pm (8-14 yrs)
‘Beat Mix Crew’ throws a little bit of everything at you, with a fusion of dances styles and techniques, such as streetdance, hip hop, freestyle, modern, jazz and cheerleading. It’s all very upbeat, physical and fun. Our dance coaches will work on all the newest moves with you and will guide you as you learn new routines while also getting choreography hints and tips.
Youth Club – Fridays ‘Fun Night’ – 6.30-8.30pm (5-12 yrs)
‘Fun Night’ is a chill-out night for primary school aged kids. Whether you’re looking for lots of fun activities or a place to hang out with your friends, the Friday Fun Night is just for you. We’ll be running different themes each week including a games night, fun fitness, movie night, Wii Challenge and the “cool” zone. This a great club if you’re looking to meet new friends, have fun, or simply relax.
Costs
All first sessions are free for any class, and then it is £3.00 per hour class or £10.00 for a 4 weekly block.
Venue
Happy Feet is a purpose built facility that offers children a nurturing and safe environment. It is based at 47-49 Claude Street, Larkhall, ML9 2BU (opposite the rear of Glengowan Primary School). Happy Feet Kids
As well as our own classes, we’ll also be running regular classes for both the kids in the nursery and the Out of School and Holiday Clubs. As an added bonus, all kids that attend the nursery and after school club, will also get receive a special voucher pack for all Future Stars activities and Parties.
