We are looking to add more active sessions for young people at the Centre, and have planned a block of fun fitness activities aimed at pre-school children aged from 3-5 years. The sessions are included as part of your entry fee and are designed to suit all abilities, with the emphasis being on fun and participation.
The classes themselves will run each Wednesday, at 10.30am and 1.30pm, and will include a mix of active games and fun challenges suitable for this age group. The aim is to make fitness fun, while also developing a wide range of social, physical and creative skills. We’ll be using different equipment such as balls, mats, cones, space hoppers, balloons, hoops and the parachute, and we’ll provide activities that are both accessible and enjoyable. We will be introducing lots of new activities every week and will adapt and develop each session based on the abilities and skills of the children taking part.
At the moment, there is no need to book in advance for these classes, so feel free to come and try it. We’d love to expand on this kind of service and would be happy to hear any feedback you have on this class or any other services you would like to see us add for pre-school children.
